Fun with Vera Bradley
You can not work at The Bronze Lady without becoming addicted to some particular line of merchandise. For me, it's Vera Bradley bags. I now have nine handbags, three large travel bags, and various wallets, coin bags, cases for glasses and cell phones. I decided to display my smaller pieces in the guest bedroom since that is my dressing room. I used a white laminate cubby tower storage unit I had in the garage for the bags, and a white wire basket (which wasn't being used) for the small things. Since I use my bags all the time, now I can find just the one I want and have a cute display, too!

Feeding the fish
Feeding the fish is a favorite activity at Lewis pond in Jacksonville. Brian stocked his new pond with hundreds of tiny brim and catfish that will some day grow into fun fishing and eating for the Lewis family. Right now Kristin saves the bread crusts and the younger kids enjoy throwing them out to the little fishies.

Eleanor is Baptised
My soon-to-be five-year-old granddaughter was baptized on my birthday, March 19, in Orange Park, Florida. Almost the entire Smith family came together to celebrate this sweet occasion. Eleanor looked the part in a lovely white gown with delicate floral embroidery. She stood still and did her part to perfection, even bravely walking with the priest up the main aisle after the ceremony. She looked like an angel! Allan and I were so proud to be part of the festivities. Congratulations Tom, Amanda, Mac and Eleanor!

Spring break!
It's a glorious March day. I have a new haircut. And a new spring top. Allan has a borrowed cool camera. Headed outside for a quick photo session. These are the results!

Spring looks
Truck after truck pulled up and unloaded tons of new furniture this week at The Bronze Lady. Which means I have to figure where it will go on the floor. And we already had a full house! But we FINALLY got the new Coastal Living bedroom group everyone in town has been calling about! We also got a white slip covered sectional ( put it in the front window this time) and the new Tommy Bahama Ocean Club. We are jammed with furniture and are having our spring patio show and sale this weekend. So if you need new furniture for your beach house or condo ...

Bailey and Bella
I love my job at The Bronze Lady furniture store. I get to work with amazing clients, tour condo and beach homes, merchandise the shop, go on buying trips, and hang out with talented professional people like Bill and Carol, Maxine, and Derick and Jeremy.
However, Bailey and Bella have the best jobs at The Bronze Lady. They are professional greeters. Bailey learned the ropes first, and once Bella arrived on the scene, she taught her. When they hear the front door chime, they race up to the front and promptly roll over for a belly rub. And they each get one!
Carol began buying cute little outfits for them to wear. We now have clients who come in just to see what they are wearing. Carol buys them special matching dresses for all holiday parties and special events. They even have Rays jerseys.
Aren't they cute? Bella is now 14 months, and Bailey will be four years old this summer. They are toy Malteses. They are very friendly and love to be held. Customers will pick them up and carry them around while they shop. And clients are very disappointed when they are home for a day off.
Come in soon and meet Bailey and Bella. They would love to meet you!
