A Getaway, A Toast, and A Dinner!

We set out on a much anticipated event - Linda and Dave's wedding! We loaded up the Jeep with wedding clothes and beach gear, wine, and camera equipment. At 3 PM sharp, we hit the road!
Linda and Dave were waiting for us in the kitchen of the B&B. We gathered around the old pine table to drink the first of many happy toasts. Our getaway was officially underway!
We were lucky to be invited to stay at this beautiful bed & breakfast by the bride and groom. The rehearsal and wedding were to take place on the lovely grounds. The Inn was charming and Allan and I spent the afternoon exploring the extensive grounds.

After all that rehearsing, everyone adjourned to a party room at Pier 22 for a fabulous dinner with wine!
More toasts to the golden couple before a scrumptious dinner and magical evening!
a delicious end - a wonderful key lime tart.
Our lovely suite - complete with European antique furnishings. Our bed chamber:
and our sitting room.
Fresh flowers were everywhere! Even on my dressing table.
Allan and I dressed for breakfast each day due to the wonderful occasion that it was! Homemade breads, parfaits, smoothies, quiche, souffles, waffles, coffees and chocolate. Oh my!
Breakfast was served on this adorable china.
After breakfast, a special surprise delivery was received
No Parisian party is complete without the Eiffel Tower!
Wedding preparations were now in full swing!
Allan and I slipped out for a walk around the marina before returning to dress for the wedding. Family members were beginning to arrive. And activity was heating up!

Checking off the days!

Next up is Linda and Dave's wedding at the Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast. We are staying two nights and then moving over to Longboat Key for three nights at the beach! So it's like packing for two trips! Have two bags set aside - one for the wedding - the other for the beach. Tossing things in as I think of it.
Packing summer dresses and accessories that are comfortable and light! It's June in Florida so it's hot and humid. I plan my outfits down to the shoes, jewelry, and bag for each event. For the arrival at the B&B, I am planning on a long casual dress and strappy sandals. So I'll be ready for the rehearsal and dinner

I am wearing the white sundress with denim vest to brunch on the day of the wedding. I bought the  cotton sundress in the Cayman Islands on our Princess cruise. The vest is new. Lacy- look white flip flops and a turquoise pendant and watch complete the look.
For the wedding, lots of silver and sparkle! Metallic knit dress and shrug, platinum tennis necklace, silver clutch and dressy flip flops ( since it's a lawn ceremony). I wore the dress to another recent wedding and liked it very much. It's good to recycle! The skirt on the dress is full and twirly, perfect for dancing the night away!
